A Brief History of Custom Stair Systems Inc.
Years of remodeling and cabinetry lead to the start of Custom Stair Systems in 1984. It was then that I focused on doing primarily stairways. Particularly replacing those wrought iron railings that were epidemic in the 1960's thru the 1980's.
About 9 years ago I began a company called Stairbuilders Inc. Which quickly became (and still is) the exclusive 'job shop' in the Twin Cities area. As the company grew, life got too hectic for me and I sold my stock to the other owners. That's where I am today.
Some of the pictures shown on this site are stairways designed and/or built by me during my time with Stairbuilders Inc. I did mainly the straight style stairways. I recommend Stairbuilders Inc. for curved stairways or high end millwork.
I specialize in straight (not spiral)stairs and railings, as shown throughout the site.
